Tomson & Benedict "Rainy Things EP" (Freerange Records)
PRESS RELEASE
Tomson & Benedict are a Manchester based production/DJ duo whose partnership spawns a mutated deep house sound representing the morphing of old school house, garage and techno with future-thinking electronic synths and programming. With just a sprinkling of production work involving names such as Paul Randolph, Atjazz, Flowriders and Paris Brightledge these two young upstarts are certainly starting to make a name for themselves so we’ve stepped in quick to sign the duo up for their debut solo EP entitled Rainy Things.
In it’s Telepathy Dub incarnation Tomson and Benedict go way old school with Chandleresque bass, smoothly building layers of arpeggiating synths and an intense and energetic vibe that belies its crisp and simple deep house groove.
Next it’s Jimpsters turn for the remix, and here we see him take a slightly darker route by loosening up the beats, introducing some wobbling synth lines and doing away with the modulating chords in favour of a more reduced feel. This is warm, fat and dare we say enchanting stuff for the warm up.
Finally we have the original mix of Rainy Things which is a simply sublime slice of halcyon House, dripping with sun-soaked strings and contrary to what it’s title suggests, purpose built for the long, lazy and hazy summer parties ahead.

Pepita Project featuring Paris Brightledge "The Way We Were"
Pepita Project's "The way we were" will take you back in time thanks to emotional vocals by Paris Brightlege (the legendary voice on the timeless "It's all right" by Sterling Void), atmospheric synth melodies and an old school flavored groove which altogether spread a gorgeous laidback vibe. Wayne Gardiner delivers a deep and groovy remix full of exquisite keys and chords, while Tomson & Benedict turn out a ruthless dance floor bomb with their deep mesmerizing remixes that are somewhat reminiscent of the unmistakable Marc Kinchen sound.

Ronnie Ron - Failure to Communicate (Tomson & Benedict dotdash Remix)
Following on from his excellent Vooddub remix of Flowriders’ ‘Russellology’ last year, two recent productions by upcoming UK deep house producer Tomson come recommended. First, his and Benedict's Dotdash remix of Ronnie Ron's ‘Failure To Communicate’ on NYSoul, which builds subtly from a stripped down minimal groove until the monster string riff grabs you.
DJ Reactions
''This track really worked in the Club! Good Energy'' Trus'me (Prime Numbers)
"Full support on the dotdash remix - classic deepness." Kelvin K
"love the original and tomson & benedict dotdash remix - congrats!" Osunlade (Yoruba Soul)

Flowriders - Russelology
Hot new house remixes of killer broken beat track Flowriders Russelology. Includes two slamming mixes from UK house supremo Phil Asher (restless soul). For the latest NYSoul Records release we have teamed up with one of the finest exponents of the broken beat / nu jazz sound - Flowriders.
We feature the debut mix of Tomson & Bendict. Tomson and Benedict are made up of up-and-coming Manchester based deep house producer Ben Harper and Tom Lynch, resident and promoter of one of the UK's best known underground club night's DEVELOPMENT. Benedict has recently had his fantastic debut single 'Hit Shorts' release on Camio Recordings and is working on a stream of original productions, while Tom is also currently finishing some of his own original tracks and edits for the soon-to-be-launched Development Music imprint. There hypnotic groove is a stripped down joint full of spacey electronic rhythms.

Benedict - Hit Shorts
The mighty Camio Recordings keeps things moving right along with its 15th
offering. And what a terrific presentation it is! Showcasing a slamming
4-cut EP featuring productions by the likes of Jihad Muhammad, Collective
Spirits, Benedict and the NJ Project, the "All Jazzed Out EP" is a
head-bobbing, feverish affair reminiscent of the early releases on classic
French label, Basenotic. I truly could not find one average sounding song
on here. Everything is on point. No fillers. Nuff said!
Underground House Magazine
Camio Records present an outstanding Jazz-House release with the "All Jazzed Out EP" that features four tracks from different artists, with Jihad Muhammad's "Movement soul" kickin' things off, a smoothly stormin' track featuring dazzling flute, piano and sax play. Next is "Organ ride" by the Collective Spirits, a deeply thumpin' yet laidback affair featuring phat organ play and sexy vocals, followed by the deeply rumblin' "Hit shorts" by Benedict that is all about the infectious synths. Finally there is "Havana" by NJ Project, a Latin house track featuring a masterly live instrumentation.
